IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE FAMILY IS BEING DECONSTRUCTED?

Deconstruction of Reality by Jason C on Deviant Art
Do you think this is happening – that is, the deconstruction of the family in the name of promoting the child, at least the best interests of the child? Am I unreasonable, even paranoid to suggest this question?

I speak out of a Christian construction without reservation so when I perceive policy and law in Canada moving away from those precepts toward unambiguous secular moral values, then I am compelled to conclude that the legal rights of families and parents are being redefined under our noses.

Individual rights of children have become a principal concentration to the disregard of the rights of parents to raise their own children without the gratuitous intrusion by the government. Even prior to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Canadian Bill of Rights stated in its preamble, “The Parliament of Canada, affirming that the Canadian Nation is founded upon principles that acknowledge the supremacy of God, the dignity and worth of the human person and the position of the family in a society of free men and free institutions; Affirming also that men and institutions remain free only when freedom is founded upon respect for moral and spiritual values and the rule of law; And being desirous of enshrining these principles and the human rights and fundamental freedoms derived from them, in a Bill of Rights which shall reflect the respect of Parliament for its constitutional authority and which shall ensure the protection of these rights and freedoms in Canada:.”

The Charter of Rights has now become the definitive document to articulate the protection of human rights in Canada but look at what has happened. The Charter has deleted references to the family in its preamble.  "Whereas Canada is founded upon the principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law." This has effectively removed the foundation for constitutional protection of parental rights and family rights. Could that be a problem for you? Is it a concern to you? It can be argued that this omission has been a significant factor in the demise of family autonomy and in the devaluation of the family on both law and legislation.

Will we be satisfied to live like this?

  1. We live in scary times indeed! Especially when we have abdicated our right and our role to become apolitical allowing the "state" to rule with implicit trust. We, as a society, have allowed ourselves to become "too busy" (preoccupied) to truly be aware of what veil is being dropped before us.When it is too late how many will then think it is time to stand up and take a position? Once the family is dismantled, we are lead right back into a time of war, domination & dictatorship. Usher in the end times.
