Zabeth and Paul Bayne – Part 48 – The Bayne Campaign for Justice

2nd of 3 collections of Supporter Quotes

When you sign the Online Petition, you can also leave a brief note. Some who signed have done this. Here is a sampling of what they say to Paul and Zabeth Bayne and their three children and to us.

First a Summary: Paul and Zabeth Bayne’s three children have been in the custody of the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development for two years. The Baynes visit their children twice weekly. Every possible avenue of appeal has been tried by the Baynes. Their story has been aired on Global and CBC television. A court date must yet be set. They have a competent lawyer to represent them but many of us believe MCFD can and will return the children before Christmas 2009.

A Sampling of Quotations
1. “My son was accidently burned at home… when I took him to the hospital the report read "mom burned" … as I was cooking. I spilled the hot water. There were no scars and no charges but I saw how fast that happened and I am very thankful that was the end of it or I could have experienced a nightmare like the Bayne family…”

2. “I will pray for Zabeth and Paul in their struggle to get their children back. It would grieve me to know that this is going on so long now because someone in the Ministry is afraid of a lawsuit. Do not give up the good fight and God will renew those who wait upon Him!”

3. “I strongly believe in children being raised by their own parents. Accidents happen all the time, even in cases where parents are extremely vigilant. Taking children away from their birth parents on weak charges traumatizes and damages their relational psyche for ever.”

4. “We are praying for your family!”

5. “I offer my support”

6. “It is outrageous that the MCFD can ignore the rally around and support to the Bayne family of hundreds or even thousands of people who are concerned about the injustice that has been done to this family.”

7. “This is an injustice that needs to be immediately corrected so that these children can be returned to their home and their parents.”

8. “There is nothing to warrant continued abuse of this family. Please return the children.”

9. “Please reinvestigate this situation and help re-unite this family…”

10. “I think that it is incredibly sad that the Ministry is this headstrong and stubborn, without clearly seeing that they are wrong in this situation, and they are causing harm upon harm upon harm, instead of dealing with real difficult cases, they are persecuting the innocent with no just or justifiable cause. I am quite disgusted at the lack of justice that they are portraying.”
