BAYNE FAMILY PHOTOS

If you are one of her Facebook friends, scroll through Zabeth Bayne's recent family fun photos she has posted on her Facebook page. It will further convince you that a Continuing Care Order is outlandish.

  1. These are great images. (One has to have a facebook account and be added as a friend to see these photos.)

If the Ministry is allowing the family to go fishing and to parks, this certainly does not sound like they are serious about thinking they will win at a CCO.

Behind closed doors, the children have been consistently portrayed as damaged goods in need of constant, around the clock specialized care. It is pretty typical in any such adversarial court case to greatly exaggerate deficiencies of the opponent (ie. a car accident victim arrives in court with a body cast and neck brace and photos of all his children he can no longer support because the evil insurance company won't pay enough for damages.)

The Ministry's definition of what constitutes "special needs" must be different than my thinking.

What I see over two dozen photos of very happy kids, running and playing.

Did the judge get to see these photos and video?

They are great family pics aren't they?
I don't give MCFD any credit for the freedom the photos convey about locations. They were forced to grant this by the judge when Baynes applied for it recently. It shows that the Judge wants to give more latitude. I am sure you are correct the MCFD sees the bold writing on the wall that this CCO applications is doomed.

  3. These parents are truly heroic - and by that I mean they display exemplary courage and perserverance.
